Letter to all the Mom’s out there – patience is a virtue

Today was one of those really really hard days being a stay at home Mom. You know those days when your kids push you literally all day long. Nonstop wearing you patience as thin and far as it can get?

By the time my husband came home I felt like I was going to lose my mind. When they don’t listen and you just want to get away for a hour or two. I needed a break from a week’s worth of a 16 month old and a 4yr pushing my buttons like crazy!!!

Them constantly asking for things, cleaning up their spills one after another after another, no nap for either one today, dirt hands and faces, food spilled, not listening when told, baby feeding the dog all her food, climbing and pushing, shoving hitting your baby sister, fighting…… Well today was that day. For the most part you think your a good Mom, your kids are good, fed, cleaned after, well taken care of, being well behaved. Then you have those days like today and you think. I shouldn’t have had kids, I am the worst Mother in the world. What was I thinking wanting kids. LOL oh yeah I really wanted to have kids because I love them. Little did you know how much harder being a Mom is than babysitting..haha Or waiting till your in your 30’s to have them and you have way less energy to chase after them then your 20’s.

Did I mention my new iMac computer has broke 3 times this week to top it all off.

What do you do when you have one of those days?

Once they are finally down and asleep I mean

Do you ?

Take  a warm bath would be nice, maybe a glass of wine, read a book, watch a movie,  talk, get out of the house, pray, read the bible, beg God for help in all that you are lacking…hehe,  journal. Take a deep breathe and be thankful for all you do have.

My baby girl who is 16 months finally fell asleep early because she was fighting me all day to take a nap. I watched her sleep , listened to her breathing softly. I thought maybe I am not so bad as a Mom..lol Then I thought wow how blessed I was to have 2 healthy growing children and all that worn down patience that was pushed to it’s limits just didn’t matter. What mattered was that they are both alive and safe. God changed my perspective as I laid there next to her watching her sleep in peace.

It made me think of how Mom’s are so taken for granite. How important a Mother’s  job really is.

We cook, clean, and take care of our children 24/7. Especially stay at home Mom’s, your extremely important the role you play in your children’s lives. You are nurturing them, guiding them down the right path. Teaching them the good and important things in life. Such as respect, manners, love, kindness, and coincidences. I just want you to know that even know you might not be getting actually paid in cash for your job. Your job is more cherished than any other job in the world. Money means nothing compared to the love you give your child. As a Mother your job means that much no matter if you give them 46-100 hours of your time. You job matters and so do you~!

I hope you feel you realize you are valued and loved from your children more than you will ever know. The little hugs and kisses are a little hint.
