Last weekend Katrina and Tim their newborn baby was only 2 weeks old to my studio. Baby G. weighed 6.5lbs at birth, you can read move about her birth on the card below.. If your planning on doing black and white images and would like photos taken like this make sure you remember to bring a black shirt and dark pants. Katrina is a teacher for high school in Phoenix and also is a cheer leading coach. Tim sells insurance so if your looking to change companies he works for Farmer’s and is super nice to work with! Their baby girl was born 2 weeks early which I can tell Katrina was happy to be done with the pregnancy. At the end it gets really tough around the last 2-3 weeks and you are ready for your baby to come out! I was a week late with my son and wow I wanted to deliver him quickly! Katrina had to deliver him because baby G.’s heart rate was high. She was such a great sleeper for her newborn session and slept the first 2 hours great.
Her parents are doing the Baby Wise book and only wakes up once a night which is really nice. My kids woke up every 2-3 hours a night for a year. This book basically tells you to keep the baby up after the baby eats. Just want my new clients to know that if you do the baby wise we need to schedule you to come over before the noonish feeding time to pick out backgrounds, props, baskets, hats, headbands etc. This way when the baby does sleep we can shoot a ton of different poses all at once while your baby is sleeping. This way by the time the next feed comes we get the harder sleeping poses out of the way.

I have a similar image of my son at this age and to this day 5 years later it’s still one of my favorite portraits of him as a newborn baby.

I love Mom & Dad photos the best, they are so sweet how much love you can see in their eyes for their newborn baby
I decided to create a small size for my blog from now on of a birth announcement for my clients to show their friends and family the babies birth information. I thought this might make my blog sneak peeks a little more personable.
