Lessons I have learned from being sick

I have had  Mono 6 months from August to December I was working on my photography all the way up to a month ago I had to stop because the pain was so bad last week I ended up in the ER. They did tests to see if it was anything immediate that is life threatening  at that moment that they could treat.

1. To trust God with whatever the outcome is and have complete peace about it.I know that He is in total control and leads us in the valleys only to bring us out onto a big, higher and more beautiful mountain top on the other side of the valley. He is the  good shepherd leads us to amazing places. My relationship with Him is deepening which I am grateful for. I have been through many, many painful experiences in my life during these times I have learned the most from God. He gets our attention this way.

2. A good lesson. I have had time on my hands to sit back and play with my kids, love my husband and appreciate all the wonderful gifts I have in my life.I was working way too much for over a year now I wanted to slow down and spend more time with my kids because it’s such a fast time that goes by they will be home before they are in school. Then that’s it. I decided to take half the amount of work or at least try. I have a really hard time telling people no because I love people and working , plus who doesn’t want more money. I admit I was a little greedy because I wanted money and work over my kids. WOW was I ever wrong. My family has to come first and foremost. I am thankful at age 36 that I have learned this lesson. Sadly I wish it wasn’t because of getting sick to learn.

Side note: I love this photo because when children look outside it makes me think of the wonder in their lives. Wonder where they will be in 20 years, what will be their favorite things to do, or conquer in life,  what joys they will find as they grow and succeed.

3. Lesson to food matters and is extremely important to your health. I wanted a good movies that opened my eyes to really see the importance of food. Food Matters and Gerson’s Miracle. Gerson was a Dr. that was trying to cure his migraines and ended up curing cancer, MS, tuberculosis, heart disease, fibromyalgia,  and  cured Cancer. His daughter today practices it in Mexico. They give people juices every hour and coffee enema’s to release the toxins from the liver.

I love this photo because it reminds me of how small my baby girl is now and how fast she is going to be grown and big.

4. Rest when your body needs it and go to bed early. I try to go down at least by 10 now. Since I started doing that I think it helped a bunch. My Gram always said how important it was to go to bed early.

5. Appreciate your life – because  love & friendships matter the most.
