When is the best time to book newborn and maternity photography? now do not wait. I don’t book past 6 months.
When would I schedule a photography session? Today as soon as you know.
Do not wait I am almost total full from September-December. I have only 1 opening a month at this moment. If you think you want to do a newborn session or aren’t sure you can always call me and I am happy to answer as many questions as you like and help prepare for your session. I give a pre-consulation over the phone once you book as well to help you with what your goals are for your session.
How far after the baby is born do you usually take the photos? first 14 days.
December Newborn:
Do You think there would be enough time to do all this since the baby’s not due until December to have Christmas cards made? After your session I can give you a couple photos for your Christmas card attached to an email. yes you have enough time, it usually takes me 3-4 days to edit, just remind me then that you want need some photos asap for cards.
Do I have to purchase digital and a product: There is a $200 product minimum and yes you need to purchase at least 1 newborn digital files to get booked.
Do you have props in your photography studio or do I need to bring them myself? I have a giant closet full or props and physical props you do not need to buy anything or bring it. If you have something sentimental you are welcome to bring and I will include it into the pictures. You are welcome to bring something sweet that means something from his/her nursery. Please DO not bring your own headbands I have spending hundreds of dollars on investing in the most beautiful and latest styles on headbands, hats, wraps for your baby to have photos taken in. The other reason I ask that you don’t bring your own headbands is everything I have bought I have put hours and hours into coordinating the colors to match all my props and backgrounds together. You are hiring me exclusively because you appreciate my work and my artistic eye for what you have seen in my pictures. Everything has been thought out and well planned.
Are there packages for the two sessions? yes there is a combination package I offer if you buy both sessions I give $50 off for booking both.
I also offer payment plans if you want to purchase 10 up front and 10-20 more later you are welcome to. I release the photos as they are paid for as you pay for them. 2nd I do take credit cards to help ease the session as well.
Mini newborn session is 10 high resolution images
My normal average newborn session is 20-30 pictures is which takes 2-3 hours.
Here is what an average normal session looks like.
5-10 baby on blanket- poses average from 1-2 hours
5 physical props
1 mom & baby
1 Dad and baby
2-5 family pictures

3-5 I always take closeups of baby’s face.
Newborn mini session is usually baby on blanket or if you only want physical props you will need to tell me before you you come so I can have the studio setup for which scene you want. There are less poses but is a great way for anyone that doesn’t have a lot of money to make sure they still are able to get newborn photos taken and not miss this chance.
